Housing Accommodations

Living on-campus

We encourage all students to live on campus to better integrate into university life; however, international students are not required to live on campus. UL Lafayette has multiple housing options available to suit the needs of all students. Most of the residence halls on our campus are state of the art and allow students to become a part of the campus community. Students can select from a variety of suite styles, traditional housing, or family housing and meal plans are included in the cost.

Students are eligible to apply for on-campus housing through Housing's portal once they have been admitted to the University.

Visitor housing is available for J-1 students and scholars and IEP students who will be attending the University for short periods of time. To apply for visitor housing, click here.

Living off campus

If you choose to live off-campus, it is your responsibility to find accommodations. We recommend using apartment guides for the Lafayette area. There are also houses available for rent in the area surrounding campus.

Apartments cost approximately $300 (shared) to $900 per month not including utilities (electricity, water, telephone, etc.).
