New F-1 and J-1 international students are required to attend two orientation sessions. The first session, International Orientation, is offered by the Office of International Affairs and includes important information about SEVIS rules and regulations. At this orienation, the OIA will obtain information from you to help us register you in SEVIS as a new UL Lafayette student.
The second orientation is hosted by the Orientation Office (Undergraduates) or the Graduate School and is where you will actually register for your classes, learn about procedures for on-campus employment if you have an assistantship and meet with academic advisors.
First-time freshmen (undergraduates) who do not have SAT or ACT scores are required to take the mathematics portion of the ACT Residual, which is offered by Counseling and Testing and usually occurs in the morning before International Orientation.
